K2 FulLuvIt 95 2017 - 2016 Review by A Better Ski

The K2 FulLuvIt 95 was a really fun and playful all-mountain ski that likes the soft snow. It’s a ski that is very versatile and really fun in a lot of different conditions.

Size:

Days: 1

Riders: Lauren

Conditions: Soft Chop, Groomed, Tracked Out

On the Snow Feel: The K2 FulLuvIt 95 is a fun and playful all-mountain ski that feels at home in soft snow, and feels smooth when carving the groomers.

Powder: We got the K2 FulLuvIt 85 in tracked out snow after about 6” of fresh. It’s a really fun soft snow ski and feels nimble and maneuverable in deeper snow. It has a semi-playful side and can be really fun slashing turns of any shape.

Turn Initiation and Carving: The K2 FulLuvIt 95 feels smooth and easy to get on edge. It’s light and nimble and wasn’t very difficult to get on edge. The ski has a fun and lively rebound energy, but isn’t super powerful. It’s also not super quick from edge to edge, although it is quite nimble thanks to its light weight. It was really fun carving medium radius turns at moderate speeds, and had a nice easy going feel to it.

Speed: The K2 FulLuvIt 95 wasn’t great at high speeds. There was a little bit of chatter in the tip, and didn’t inspire a ton of confidence. Still, it was fun carving medium radius turns at moderate speeds in soft snow.

Uneven/Variable Terrain: The ski isn’t a crud buster, but does a good job of riding over and smoothing out tracked out terrain. This ski was fun and nimble, and easy to maneuver at slower speeds. It has a fun and playful side, and was smooth and easy going in soft snow. I wouldn’t take it full speed into rough tracked out snow, but take a little slower and more finesse approach.

Bottom Line: We would really like the K2 FulLuvIt for soft snow days that aren’t super deep. It’s light, nimble, maneuverable, and easy to slash turns of any shape. It has solid edge hold and was fun carving medium radius turns. It’s not super stable or damp, but has a smooth feeling that we really like.
