Armada Victa 87 Ti 2017 - 2016 Review by A Better Ski

The Armada Victa 87 Ti is a ski for the hard charging front-side women skier. It has a lot of power and energy and was really fun making high speed turns on groomed runs. This was a strong ski, and could be really fun for strong skiers.

Armada Victa 87 Ti On-Mountain Video Ski Review

Bindings: Tyrolia Aaattack 13

Size: 171cm

Days: 1

Riders: Lauren

Conditions: Soft Chop, Groomed, Hard Pack

On the Snow Feel: The Armada Victa 87 Ti feels like a strong and stable ski that likes speed.

Turn Initiation and Carving: The Armada Victa 87 Ti feels like a strong ski built for advanced skiers. It’s pretty stiff and stable, but didn’t feel overly difficult to get on edge. The rocker helps smooth initiation and if you’re willing to drive the ski it really responds well. It felt at home at longer radius, but also had the ability to break free and very turn shape. It does have a slightly playful side to it as well, but really felt more at home charging on edge. The ski is a lot more powerful than the ARW.

Speed: The Armada Victa 87 Ti felt at home at speed. This ski seems to cater to advanced skiers that aren’t afraid to get on it. It seems to prefer long radius turns, and on edge it was really damp and stable.

Uneven/Variable Terrain: The ski has a damp and stable feel and was capable cutting through soft tracked out snow when on edge. We probably wouldn’t take it full speed in really deep chop, but for shallow chop the ski cuts through really well.

Edge Hold: Edge hold was really good on this ski. It has a lot of camber underfoot and a nice torsional stiffness. The ski wants to be on edge, and grips the snow really well.

Bottom Line: The Armada Victa 87 Ti is a strong and powerful ski that likes to be on edge and ski fast. It’s going to cater to strong women skiers, and has a lot of stability and dampness. It can be slightly playful if you’re willing to work hard, but really prefers being on edge on smooth groomers. It has a decent amount rebound energy and a lot of power.
