Patagonia Synchilla 2016 Review by A Better Ski

The Patagonia Synchilla Pullover is a very warm and comfortable mid-layer with a retro look. It’s great for those skiers who always run cold and need a warm mid layer for underneath your technical shell.

Patagonia Synchilla Pullover Fleece Review

Tester: Matt

Size: L

Matt’s Specs: Sizing Info

Fit: The Patagonia Synchilla has a relaxed fit that gives some extra room in the torso. It’s a pretty bulky fleece so it can feel pretty big. I think if I were to use this as a mid-layer I would size down to a small so it wouldn’t feel so bulky under my jacket. The small would still fit well since it’s a relaxed fit, and I could put a base layer or two underneath the Synchilla.

Features: The Patagonia Synchilla is the fleece that started it all. It’s a very warm pullover with thick heavyweight fleece. It has elastic hem and cuffs, and a small chest pocket for small items.

Best Uses: The Patagonia Synchilla is a heavyweight mid layer that would be great for the really cold days on the mountain. It’s also a very comfortable jacket for around a campfire, or for hiking on a cool fall day. The retro look will make sure you stand out while hanging at the bar for après.
