Patagonia Retro X 2016 Review by A Better Ski

The Patagonia Retro X Vest is a lightweight fleece vest that is designed to help retain your core body temperature. Vests are great for those who want to pack light, but still need that extra insulation for when the temps really start to drop. They are best under a technical shell which will provide waterproof protection, but they can also be used on their own on mild days. I find them great for hanging around the bar after a day of skiing, or for hiking the trail on a mild fall day. The Patagonia Retro X has an old school look to it, but with new school recycled fleece. The inside has a moisture wicking mesh barrier, and windproof membrane. There are two hand warming pockets, a chest pocket, and the fit is true to size.
