Arc'teryx Iser 2018 - 2017 Review by A Better Ski
Arc’teryx Iser Jacket review and video
The Arc’teryx Iser is a relaxed fit technical outwear shell that will work well with resort layering techniques. A collar that is separate from the hood rather then integrated gives it a less technical appearance.
Specs: See “Outerwear Sizing”
Fit: Perfect for resort layering, this 3-layer GORE-TEX shell offers protection from the elements, and a more relaxed fit them many Arc’teryx shell jackets. I was still able to throw on a Cerium LT down jacket on under this shell. The sleeves are nice and long and cut for glove wear, either inside or on top of your glove.
Function: I loved the feeling of the outer layer of this shell, with a bit of stretch allows the Arc’teryx Iser to move well with your body. This jacket comes with a non detachable powder skirt which will keep the snow from coming into your shell if you end up on your butt. The hood, like all Arc’teryx hoods is perfect, plenty of adjustability for helmeted wear or without. I wish that the pockets were a bit higher, but I am in the small percentage that wears a pack even when on resort.
Overall: The Arc’teryx Iser jacket is perfect for someone who wants the durability, and performance of more technical Arc’teryx shell jackets, but is looking for a resort oriented option with a more relaxed fit.
