Arc'teryx Covert 2018 - 2017 Review by A Better Ski
Arc’teryx Covert Hoody review and video
Ohhhh, we really like this one! Super versatile piece, the Arc’teryx Covert hoody will be your “go-to” piece in no time. This is taken directly from the Arc’teryx site and ring 100% true “Technical outdoor functionality, comfort and durability brought to everyday designs.” Made for backcountry assents but at home next to a warm fire and with a cup of cocoa.
Size: S (too small)
Chris’ Specs: Sizing Info
Fit: We didn’t have direct access to a Large, but decided that this jacket needed to get some love (because its excellent). Unbelievably, the small had ling enough arms to fit me, this is going to be a God send for climber like bodies that are long and lean. Athletic cut bring the Covert hoody in nicely at the waist and the hood is form fitted for a helmetless head.
Function: Arc’teryx proprietary Alpenex fleece is designed to give you a polyester fabric with the look of wool. The Covert Hoody will do a great job keeping you warm, and breaths while you are working but you will need a shell if its wind at all. I really liked that Arc’teryx thought to add some reinforcement around the hand warmer pockets, this makes it super each to zip and unzip the pocket without bunching.
Bottom Line: This will take the place of your current favorite mid-layer and you’ll find yourself running to Whole Foods, just don’t be surprised if you aren’t only one there with an Arc’teryx Covert hoody.
