The DryGuy Travel Dry DX is a great boot and glove dryer for those who spend a lot of time on the road. The DryGuy Travel Dry is a hybrid dryer that combines a heater with a fan for air flow. The other cool thing about the travel guy is that it combines the AC adapter with a normal DC plug. So the moment you get back to your vehicle after a day of skiing you can plug it in and start drying your boots immediately. Once you get to the hotel, or to your home, you can attach the DC adapter and plug it into the wall. I love the idea for two reasons. First, I can use this on my road trips, even if I never end up in a hotel room. The other is that I can start drying my gear right away, helping to reduce the amount of time the gear stays wet. The shape of the Travel dry works really well for my boots. The fan seems to work pretty well, and works with a low hum. It’s not overly loud, but if you’re lying in a silent hotel room, you’ll definitely notice it. It’s not the fastest dryer that I have used, but it is faster than the Thermanator since it has the air flow. I think if you’re looking for a nice lightweight travel boot dryer, this is one of the best I’ve come across.
